Thank you for considering Beverly Mental Health Services. We are looking forward to working with you and appreciate the trust you place in our team.
To make your start with us as smooth as possible, please review the following important information.
1. Complete Your Onboarding
Your first step is to complete our 24/7 onboarding process at our Webpage.
Your next step is to complete the required onboarding paperwork:
- Look for an email or text message from Valant / MYIO inviting you to our secure patient portal.
- Follow the invitation to set up your MYIO account and complete the required forms.
- Please also check your spam or junk folder if you do not see the invitation.
- If you still cannot find it, simply text us back and let us know. We will be happy to resend the invitation.
Please understand that completing the paperwork is unfortunately necessary before your provider can see you.
All onboarding paperwork should be completed within one week of receiving the onboarding link and no later than three weeks before your scheduled appointment.
Because we often have a long waiting list, appointments cannot be held indefinitely while we wait for paperwork. We may send reminders, but we cannot repeatedly follow up with patients to complete required documents.
If the required paperwork is not completed within the requested timeframe, your appointment may be released to another patient and your onboarding link may expire.
If you still wish to proceed afterward, please contact us. We can check whether your original appointment is still available or whether we need to find another appointment for you.
2. MYIO Patient Portal
MYIO is an important part of your communication with BeverlyMHS. You can use it to:
- Complete and sign consent forms
- Communicate securely with our team
- Access important information
- Submit prescription refill requests
- Find your previous conversations with us
For privacy and HIPAA compliance, please use MYIO for detailed questions and clinical communication. Learn more about MYIO.
Text messaging is primarily used for appointment scheduling and brief administrative communication.
3. Prescription Refill Requests
Prescription refill requests must be submitted through the prescription/refill mailbox in MYIO.
Please do not send prescription requests by text message. Using the designated mailbox ensures that your request reaches the appropriate team and can be handled securely and efficiently.
4. Telehealth Appointments
All BeverlyMHS appointments are currently provided via telehealth.
Please make sure you have:
- A reliable internet connection
- A private and appropriate location for your appointment
- A working device with camera and microphone
- Access to your MYIO account
5. Insurance and Patient Responsibility
We verify your insurance eligibility, but the information provided by insurance companies does not always show your complete financial responsibility.
Your actual responsibility may depend on:
- Copay
- Deductible
- Coinsurance
- Your specific insurance plan
- Your insurance contract and benefits
For the most accurate information about your expected cost, we recommend contacting your insurance company directly.
Please also understand that an eligibility check does not guarantee payment by your insurance.
If we are out-of-network with your plan, we will let you know and provide our applicable self-pay rates when appropriate.
6. Credit Card on File
An active credit card is required for services with BeverlyMHS.
Please keep your payment information current in MYIO. If a payment cannot be processed, we may contact you to request an updated payment method.
7. Cancellations and No-Shows
We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or appointment changes.
Our standard no-show/late-cancellation fee is $150, as outlined in our practice policy. This fee helps compensate for reserved appointment time that could otherwise have been offered to another patient.
Repeated no-shows may result in discharge from the practice. Our goal is to provide care to our patients —not to generate revenue from missed appointments.
Please contact us via text message as early as possible if you cannot attend your appointment.
8. Communication and Collaboration
We value respectful, timely communication and collaboration with our patients.
Our providers have limited availability and, in many cases, significant waiting lists. Completing paperwork on time, responding to important messages, and following the practice’s communication processes helps us provide the best possible care.
We want to spend our time helping patients — not repeatedly chasing incomplete paperwork, missed appointments, or messages sent through the wrong communication channel.
9. Your Appointment
If we have offered you a specific appointment time, please confirm it within 48h.
An appointment is not considered secure indefinitely without the required confirmation and onboarding steps.
If your circumstances change or you no longer wish to proceed, simply let us know. We appreciate knowing so we can offer the appointment to another patient.
10. We Are Here to Help
We understand that starting with a new mental health provider can involve several steps. If something is unclear or you have difficulty completing the onboarding process, please let us know.
We are happy to help you navigate the process.
We look forward to welcoming you to BeverlyMHS.
